Green Lines in Video output

Hey there,

since a few weeks I have an issue with all my video Files in VLC Player. In every video there is a green line at the top and the bottom of the video (screenshot). I have no idea where they come from and I can't get rid of them. What I already tried:
- looked for the issue in the Wiki -> didn't find anything
- googled the problem -> didn't find anything relevant
- set back the settings to normal
- reinstall VLC Player

Scrrenshot of the issue:

Still no change. It happens on all kind of video files, .avi, .mp4, .mkv. When I watch the files with Windows Media Player the lines do not appear. I'm using the latest Version of VLC Player (2.2.2) on a Windows 8.1 x64 System. If you need any further information please write it down, I'll try to figure them out :D

Hope someone knows this bug and can help me!

Best wishes

This is a known issue in VLC 2.2.2
You can revert down to 2.2.1 or try the nighties (2.2.3 or 3.0).
Sometimes changing the video output module mitigates the issue.

This still occurs in 2.2.3 and the latest nightly build.

Turning off the "use hardware YUV > RGB Conversion" in preferences>video , turns it off

They have only addressed security issues and some regressions in the latest releases.
So far even the next release,2.2.4, only has a few security updates.
