Any hope video wall can work better 3 cols x 1 row?

Version 8.1 worked well where I could stretch a video source across three monitors horizontally. Later versions either put the image on the center window with black on the surrounding others or vlc crashes to desktop. Cloning still works ok.

I have tried so many combinations with the video aspect ratio in Video settings and the Video Wall Filter settings. Now in v8.4 Test 1 there's that monitor aspect ratio. I'm like lost with where the direction on video wall and aspect ratio's are going.

Can someone help me out? What I did in v8.1 to get it to work was set the video wall filter to 3 columns by 1 row and the aspect ratio to 11.5:3.

I'm dying to know a solution already.

Thanks!

I'm still having difficulty w/ this.

What might help is in a future release there might be a feature that would simply stretch whatever the video source is across all video wall windows. This way I don't necessarily have to play w/ funky aspect ratios all the time. Plus something like that could help minimize the amount of the black border around it. While viewing tv it's not there, but w/ video game consoles and computers (from s-video out) it's very apparent.

I know this sounds like a wasteful feature, but it answers a big wish list item of spanning video games across several monitors.

Thanks!!!

What exactly is the problem that you're having? If the screen appears black then disable the video overlays (Preferences -> Video output _> (disable) Overlay video output). If you're trying to get the image to fill all 3 screens then use the Video wall filter and adjust the Crop and aspect ratio via "A" (aspect ratio) and "C" (Crop) hotkeys.

It's not an overlay problem, just take a look at:
