I just upgraded from Win7 to Win10 (64 bit), and re-installed the latest version of VLC (2.2.2).

For some reason, the "Continue Playback" function no longer works. It was working fine on Win7. I know where the option is, and have tried setting to "Ask" or "Always", but it doesn't matter. My videos always starts from the beginning, like before this feature was introduced.

I've tried everything and it just refuses to work on Windows 10. I never knew how much I used that feature until it broke. Shame.

Fixed for 2.2.3

I tried the nightly from 3/9 for 2.2.3 for 64-bit and it is not working.

Try the 32bits one. And report what you see.

I don't see a 2.2.3 for the nightlies

What should I try?

I tried downloading the 3.0.0 version and it works!

The 3.0.0 version gives me an error every time I start watching though. "Unidentified codec: VLC could not identify the audio or video codec". Even if I check the "Hide future errors" button it still happens. At least I have the continue playback again!

Try the 32bits one. And report what you see.

I tried the nightly from 3/12 for 2.2.3 for 32-bit and it is not working.

For me continue/resume playback doesn't work in Windows 7 and 10 with VLC Player 2.2.2 ( 32bit ). What's interesting it works with 3.0.0 and older version 2.x.

I also downgraded to 2.2.1. "Continue Playback" works again.
