Strange border lines

Hello,
I upgraded to VLC 64-bit (2.2.2) and suddenly there are strange border lines for some videos.
Sometimes the lines are green: Image and sometimes a mix of colors.
Also, video quality has deceased dramatically for some reason.
I tried to solve both problems by changing between hardware accelerated decoding on with DXVA 2.0 and without but there is no difference.

I'm using Windows 10 (64-bit), Intel Core i5 4440 @ 3.10GHz with Intel HD Graphics 4600.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Update: I tried to uninstall VLC 64-bit (with deleting preference and cache) and then installing 32 bit, but now both problems are also in the 32 bit.

What can I do?
Thanks

Nothing, looks like it's a bug of Direct3D video output with both v2.2.2 and v3.0.
Just wait for a fix.

Sorry ....not sure if this issue has been solved! Please open tools > preferences > Video settings tab and then change output to open GL and don't forget to press save! That should do it!

I'm still getting this issue with 2.2.3. Doesn't happen with every video, but it always happens with x265/HEVC video.

My workaround in the meantime is to crop the bottom pixel off, which gets rid of the green line (even if it's more than a pixel high) - Tools > Effects and Filters > Video Effects > Crop > Change Bottom to "1 px". You have to change this every time you play another video, it's not saved.
