Kaleidoscopic videos

Postby endi » 11 Oct 2005 01:56

hi

every time i try to play a downloaded file (every type of file: avi mpg wmv..) all i get is a VERY VERY distorted video, kind of kaleidoscopic.... i get the same problem with the latest version of vlc and with the beta...

note that the problem happens just with downloaded videos-others seem to work properly

what should i do?

Try changing the output module?
[ PC: WXP Pro SP2 | 1GB RAM | 250GB HD | 256MB Radeon 9550 | 1.7ghz AMD Sempron | VLC 0.8.6e (wxWidgets) ]
[ Laptop: Gateway MX7515 | WXP Pro SP2 | 1GB RAM | 100GB HD | 128MB Mobility Radeon X600 | 2.6ghz AMD Athlon | VLC 0.8.6e (wxWidgets) ]

Sounds like there is something wrong with your videocard overlay. Does the same video produce the same results in other players?
