remove gap between songs (useful on live albums)

Postby VladDrakul » 21 Dec 2015 22:53

I'm trying to remove the gap between audio songs (mp3). I know that for instance on winmap it has just a matter of increasing the buffer, or something like that.
This is useful on live albums where the audio "flows" between songs

Is it possible to have a constant playing without gaps on vlc ?

Isn't it about time VLC looked into such a thing? Winamp was doing gap-less playback 20 years ago.

Yes, it is about time VLC had gapless capability since they are decades behind everyone else! Great program otherwise!

Tell me about it. Without a gapless ability VLC is pretty much useless. LIve and 70's prog albums for example become less enjoyable with that stupid pause between songs.
It's time to get the lead out VLC.

Only since version 5.3 :P

Good news: we're working on that for VLC 4.0

Hi, I downloaded the beta VLC 4.0 version. Where can I find the setting for removing gap between songs? It would be great to have that possible, especially classic music and live rock recordings.
thanks

Is there any update on this feature being available in any version of VLC available to download? Is there any way for anyone to get access to any version of VLC with this feature yet?

If so, how?
