Recorded file too large

Postby gllima.astus » 24 Sep 2015 21:25

Hello,

I'm currently testing recording a video captured by Live Gamer Portable with VLC (through dshow).
But something strange are happening, for 16 seconds record the file size is about 1.94 Gbytes.
Does anybody know if there is something in VLC configuration that I can change in order to get smaller files?

Warm regards,

Raw uncompressed video is always large but you can compress it afterwards, for instance to H.264.
Compressing on the fly is very CPU demanding and might not be a good idea.

Thanks, Lotesdelere. Do you know which configurations I change in VLC in order to reduce the file size?
