when i try playing a x264 (.mkv) file in VLC it just gives me gray output
when i play it with WMP10 (using nero's avc decoder) and mplayer it OK

Try VLC 0.8.4-test1a: http://downloads.videolan.org/pub/video ... st1/win32/

now it wont even give me sound
and it do not accsept the mkv file :/
