Windows 10 DVD AutoPlay with VLC

I am trying to setup Windows 10 to AutoPlay DVDs with VLC Media Player (v. 2.2.1.)
From Windows 10 > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > AutoPlay
I have "Play DVD movie (VideoLAN VLC media player)" selected for both DVD movie and Enhanced DVD movie.

When I insert a DVD, the DVD shows up on my desktop but does not AutoPlay.
From within VLC Media Player, I have no problem playing DVDs.
Is there a way to AutoPlay DVDs from Windows 10 using VLC Media Player?
Thanks.

Dear computix,

I tried to reproduce the problem with Windows 10 and VLC Media Player (v. 2.2.1), but it worked well. So far, I'm not able to reproduce the problem.
Did you try to reset all settings in VLC? or the AutoPlay settings in Win 10?

May be you have some more information or anything for us?

Regards
Poldy

I reset VLC's preferences and cache files. I rebooted.
I made slight changes to Windows AutoPlay settings. (See attached image. The link should work for about a month.)

Still no joy.
Thanks.

What happens? It does not launch VLC or it launches the VLC but not the DVD?

The same as when I started this thread...
"When I insert a DVD, the DVD shows up on my desktop but does not AutoPlay. From within VLC Media Player, I have no problem playing DVDs."
If I click on the desktop icon for the DVD, I receive an error:
"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel."
