Unable to build VLC

Hi

When Building VLC on WinXP using Cygwin, the following messages were received:

1)
checking dshow.h usability... no
checking dshow.h presence... yes
configure: WARNING: dshow.h: present but cannot be compiled
configure: WARNING: dshow.h: check for missing prerequisite headers?
configure: WARNING: dshow.h: see the Autoconf documentation
configure: WARNING: dshow.h: section "Present But Cannot Be Compiled"
configure: WARNING: dshow.h: proceeding with the preprocessor's result
configure: WARNING: dshow.h: in the future, the compiler will take precedence
configure: WARNING: ## ------------------------------ ##
configure: WARNING: ## Report this to the vlc lists. ##
configure: WARNING: ## ------------------------------ ##
checking for dshow.h... yes

AND

2)
checking for twolame.h... yes
checking for twolame_init in -ltwolame... no
configure: error: Cannot find libtwolame library...


plz help..

Check out the install.win32 file in the svn tree. Follow its directions exactly. I have not been able to get this to compile on XP but have on win2k and win98. Good luck
