I discovered this feature not 30 minutes ago and i've been trying to make it work but it hasn't.

When i click play there is an error message: "Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBo8RaX6zus'. Check the log for details."

By checking Tool>Messages I see:

main error: TLS client plugin not available
main info: stopping playback
main error: cannot pre fill buffer
main error: TLS client plugin not available
main error: open of `https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBo8RaX6zus' failed.

I use Windows 8.1 and VLC 2.1.5

Does your VLC build include the GnuTLS plugin? Seems not...

It should be installed by default in the \Plugins\Misc subfolder of VLC.

I have libgnutls_plugin.dll in this folder and your link is playing fine for me.
