I'm using the latest version of VLC and if I play a .avi file with subtitles from the beginning everything works fine and the subtitles show up. If I fast foward or chapter skip the subtitles are gone and no matter what I do I can't get them back. I've tried disabling/reenabling subtitles, I've tried reloading the .sub file and clicking on the appropriate subtitle but neither works. If I go back and start the movie from the beginning again sure enough subtitles are there again. Is this a known issue? Is there any workaround?
