I need to transfer or copy all my music from Windows Media Player to VLC and I can't seem to find an easy way to do this. Would someone be so kind and provide me with the answer? I am using Win 7 64 bit and Windows 10 is removing Media Center.
Thanks in advance for your help.

It's working!!! I didn't write down the name of the author, however, these are the instructions.
Step 1 Open VLC Media Player and click the "View" button in the menu bar. Click the "Playlist" option and then click the"Media Library" button in the left pane to view the current contents of your library.
Step 2 Right click the "Media Library" button, move your mouse cursor over "Open Media" and then select "Open Folder".
Step 3 Navigate to the folder containing your media files and click to select it. Click "Select Folder to make VLC scan through the folder for media files.
Step 4 Select the desired media file from your library to play it. Note that if the folder you selected contains numerous sub-folder and/or media, it could take a while for all the files to be added to the library.
*Tip It doesn't matter if the media files are in the base of a folder or if they're contained by sub-folders, every media file contained by the folder will be added. If, for example, you want to add every media file on your computer, select the "C" drive as your folder.
Happy Transfering!!!!
