Edit .xspf playlist.. files directory ie('s)

Postby oggmeista » 21 Jul 2015 01:09

Hi

First of not quite sure whether this is virtually the same question as
https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.ph ... pf#p428385

Ok i have a problem which I am hoping somebody here can help me with, I want to be able to edit an .xspf playlist, what I mean is that due to space restrictions I want to be able to move some files which are already listed on a previous playlist, now doing so would mean the existing playlist would no longer have the correct address/directory and will not be able to find these files, so here is my question is there a way of being able to instruct/change the existing playlist so that it will search for these files from the corrct directory, it's the kind of edit I used to be able to use with a .ini file in a game or or other software, maybe this can be opened like a notepad and edited such as with an .ini file?

I am hoping that I do not need to reference all the files in a new playlist as this is more complex than it sounds and would be easier if I simply change address where the program looks for the files before loading each into memory

Any help/advice?

cheers

XSPF is based on XML, so yeah, you can edit it in a text editor.
