Preview works, but VLC cannot display the AVI file.

Hello

I downloaded an AVI-file with emule.
During the download I used the VLC 0.8.0 to preview the file. It was OK. It was no fake.

But after the download is finished ..
VLC cannot display the AVI-file. It hangs!

Do you know why?

GSpot, AVIcodec, Window Media Player and Zoom Player .. all hang!

What is the difference for VLC between preview and normal player?

What can I do?
Thank you.

Have you closed emule?

Hallo

If a file is finished downloaded then emule moves the file automatically to a directory named ..\incoming.

I move the file from there to my own directory.
There I use VLC as a player to see the film.
And now the VLC hangs! .... but during the download I could preview the file with VLC to see whether the file is a fake. It is not a fake.

Emule is not closed ... but runs the whole time .. :)
