hi, i've just downloaded VLC..but i don't know where to go.

I just fumbled with some stuffs, and tried playing a video, but all i heard was the sound, but i can't see anything..

can some experieced guys tell me what i did wrong??

(it'll be good if you can explain to me in plain english.i'm not really good with computer stuffs..)

Try a little more work and use the wizards to try to open a file. Read, Read, Read. It is not extremely easy to use but is very powerful IMHO!

maybe nothing.. it could very well be the default settings shipped with vlc.

ok, but maybe you did do something that affected your situation adversely.

If you post the View -> Messages there should be enough to tell about the settings.. -what they are, what they could/should be changed to.

Actually I passed a LITTLE lost DAYS ago.....LOL

I understand that this is going to take time to learn and I am willing to do the reading.

Usually I find that there are guides that some thoughtful person has put together for newbies like myself.

Can somebody point me to such a thing if it exist?
