VLC compatibility with AverMedia LGP LITE GL310‏

Dear all,

did anyone already have experience with VLC and AverMedia LGP LITE GL310‏. I have since that the AverMedia LGP LITE GL310‏ is not part of the compatible device but my hope is that nevertheless it works.

Unfortunately I did not achieve it. The device is recognize by VLC but trying to play I got the message that the device does not support the necessary parameters.

May someone help me?

First install the Avermedia STREAMENGINE (allows capture pin to Directshow).


And then start the 32-Bit Version of VLC and you can choose the Streamengine Dshow Device (Video and Audio).

But it is very buggy with very high CPU Usage and the Audio has hickups!

Best way is to use nginx rtmp server and recentral (custom rtmp connection to nginx local server)

I manage it to ork but you're right, bit annoying with VLC :cry:

Nevertheless I have to find a way to make it work, as I am using Vodobox which is using VLC.
