is there anyway to reduce screen tearing in VLC player?

Postby Razor512 » 03 Jun 2015 05:19

This has been an issue that I have had for many years with VLC, where there will be a small amount of screen tearing when waching vdeo. (forcing vsync on for VLC in the nvidia control panel, does not work.

While I am not alone in this issue, most of the threads asking for help wth it, seem to be very old (e.g., around 2008), thus I am wondering, has there been any special breakthrough in dealing with screen tearing in VLC that I am not aware of?

If not, then I guess I can continue to live with the issue, but it woul be so much better if there were a soluton to the issue.

Try a different video output module.
