Occasional distortions, weird colors, doubled picture, green and yellow lines

Hello. Recently i've updated to version 2.2.1 and started to experience strange problems with playback - occasionally i get green or yellow lines on top and bottom of the screen, colors get inverted or picture gets doubled, i've included an example pic.
Those distortions appear when i drag and drop videos onto VLC window itself or skip to next/previous videos and they disappear if i restart the playback. Any suggestions on why this keeps happening?
