all videos rotated 90 deg suddenly

Hi decided to watch a video and discovered VLC has suddenly decided to rotate all my videos 90 DEG ...VLC played them correctly before... still play correctly with windows media player.. have uninstalled vlc and reinstalled it still playing sideways. any suggestions ? thanks Mark.. Acer aspire windows 8 64 bit

Sounds like you have the rotate filter enabled.
Check the menu Tools -> Effects and Filters -> Video Effects tab -> Geometry

thanks Lotesdelere problem solved... new query how did it set itself 90deg off .. I DIDN'T DO IT N NO ONE ELSE USES THIS COMPUTER?

Actually after a recent VLC update I had this issue as well.
Transform > Rotate by 90 degrees
as well as
Interactive Zoom
were both suddenly turned on. Nobody else has access to this computer, it is in a private office and pw protected and I did not make the changes.
