moving vlc cache location?

Postby dinnerplate_extreme » 04 Apr 2015 05:24

Hi

it appears vlc's cache is located on the c:\ by hard default, and I feel this is a needless waste of read/write cycles for my ssd. Given this machine does a lot of streaming, and the fact i just had an ssd die on me, I'm kinda concerned about the potential issue.

is there a way to move the location of the cache to another drive or, even better, ram? I can easily live with even a couple of hundred megabytes more used in ram...

thanks
