Anyone find a fix for runtime error

Postby theMezz » 09 Mar 2015 21:57

"This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way"

This happens when I try to set up file associations .. in 32 or 64 bit versions.
Running Win7 Pro 64
I uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and del the files in appdata folder too.

ideas?

See the bottom of this thread also for a possible workaround:

There is a very simple workaround to this problem.
In Window explorer, right click on a video file you want to associate with VLC.
Choose "Open with", but DON'T choose VLC media player yet, click on "Choose default program", then choose VLC, and that file type will then open with VLC.
