Temorarily mute audio when seeking

Postby vovin » 20 Feb 2015 21:59

I have a loud speaker system hooked up to my computer for watching movies. Whenever I seek through these large blu ray files I get these loud click/pops for about a second or two which is pretty harsh on the ears. My guess is that the file is so large that seeking is too demanding on the CPU, so there's probably not any realistic was of eliminating those pops. So is there a way to just mute the audio for a second or two each time you hit the seek bar?

what version is your vlc because i don't have such issues. vlc 2.0 branch did have sound issues. they were supposed to be fixed in 2.1. also, 2.2 is out now. :-)
