Hello all,
I have both the Windows app listed and the standalone program ('VLC Media Player' x64) downloaded and installed (I've Windows 8.1 Pro w/MC for what it's worth). The standalone program itself plays 'soft subtitles', but the Windows app called 'VLC for Modern Windows' won't play 'soft subtitles'.
Is this a known issue of the Windows app "VLC For Modern Windows"? If so, is there a work-around for it?

Same here.
Just downloaded VLC for Modern Windows on a Dell Venue Pro 11 running 8.1 Enterprise from the store.
Plays .mp4 without problems, but won't display the .srt subtitles even after manually selecting them.
