Advance while not Focused

Postby pctechtv » 17 Jan 2015 08:55

Hi, does anybody know of a method (CLI, script, etc.) to make VLC move its play head based on a set increment (e.g. 5 secs) without it having to be focused? What I mean by focused is that it does not have to be the application on the for-front and it will not interrupt what you are focused on. Thanks

Use the global hotkeys.

Thanks, great! Works like a charm! Here is the problem now. I have keys on my keyboard passed F12. I have F13 - F26, when I try to set the Global Hotkey higher that F12 it just says "Unset" and it does not work when restarted. Is there a way to set keys higher than F12? Thanks!
