command line to play an item.

Postby Mitrovah » 05 Jan 2015 15:21

I decided to try my hand at using the command line interface of VLC. I try to use the play command : play XYZ but every time I enter a title name it won't play it. I check the playlist status and it is listed but VLC does not play it. Do I have to enter the complete file path after the play command? When I click on the file it plays and afterwards the play command works.I tried finding a solution in the documentation but could not find the answer.
