getting captions in another language

Postby sls » 04 Dec 2014 21:17

Hi, I am learning French and I want to be able to watch french DVDs with french subtitles. The only option that I see is captioning in English. Is it possible to convert the subtitles into french, and if so, how do I do it?

I'm using VLC 2.1.5 and my laptop is running Windows 7.

Thanks in advance!

No, of course not. VLC does not implement computer reading and live translation

And even if it did, you would not want to "learn" a language from machine translated content...
