i update it like usual, however when i do my normal 'check' to make sure its gone through by 'checking for updates' again - it asks if i want to update to the same one i updated already. Ive already cleared cookies, cache, etc etc -- this seems to be a bug with the new update, NOT me. Someone please fix this...

2 bumps in 2 hours is not going to get you help any faster. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?

of course i have. several times.

and bumping will keep it near the top.

still no response... im not surprised. Ah well, guess ill dump VLC for WMP =\
