Your input can't be opened?

Hello!
I've been kinda stalking this forum for a while hoping that someone else already answered this.
I'm using an ASUS Blu Ray Drive, and from what I can see, everything is working. I have everything in their correct places, and I no longer get an error about not having keys or AACS unless if I'm running the 32 bit VLC. I opened and played Scott Pilgrim vs. The World's DVD without an issue, and then used the same drive to try and play the bluray version to get the error;
Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'bluray:///D:/'. Check the log for details.

Fearing that it was because it was a newish movie (coming out in 2010) I tried the older Incredible Hulk (2008) and still ran into the same problem. I read somewhere that it might be the firewall (only for streaming, but I gave it a go anyway) to have no effect.

If anyone has any possible solutions at all, I'd love to hear them, I'm really new to VLC, and only am giving it a whirl because I got a free copy of DAEMON Tools Pro from getting a few new computer components, so I wanted to put all my blurays as a mountable disc and just have a nice categorized library of movies.

Just to clarify, the KEYDB.cfg is located in AppData\Roaming\aacs
The libaacs.dll is located in C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC with the vlc.exe

The ONLY issue I'm getting is

Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'bluray:///D:/'. Check the log for details.

Looking around, I found out how to get debug messages, so..

Code: Select all

Shortly after getting a fail like "nothing to play" I put it into my PS4 for it to work, so it isn't a faulty disc or anything.

Is there anything else I can do to help diagnose the issue?

Hmm, I was trying it again and I didn't actually get an error, but it didn't play.
Looking at the debug, and I got this.

I've been changing around what movies I'm using because I have a ton that I'm trying to make images for, and sometimes before I start making an image I'll test it to see if it works.
I'm not going to give up, and if I have all of these bluray movies, I should just make digital images for them anyway so I can start going disc-less.

In a last ditch effort, I completely deleted everything and reinstalled VLC.
Still got the same error

Code: Select all

Next I'm going to install the 32 bit VLC and try that..

Heh, it just crashed... Tried 3 times, and it crashed every time...

From Messages, all I could really see is a buncha stuff I don't quite understand, and the last message was "IM: Setting an input" after "art not found for (null)"

weee...

Any ideas?
