Snapshot: Wrong aspect ratio

If I take a snapshot of a 16:9 DVD menu with VLC 2.2.0-pre3 it has an AR of 5:4 (1.25).
Why is correct AR not preserved please?

I'm having the same problem with v2.2.1, which I just upgraded to. Was not having this problem prior to upgrading; unfortunately, I'm not sure what version that was, but it's been quite a while since I updated.
ETA: Per
this ticket, I downgraded to v2.1.5 (reported as the last version without the bug), and snapshots are the correct ratio again.

When I convert a stretched (16:9) file to 4:3, it displays fine in VLC, but the result file remains 16:9. Force 4:3 makes no difference.
