Postby cuser » 07 Sep 2014 13:31

I was playing cd and noticed that songs which had scandinavian letters in name those letters were shown as ? instead normal letter. Is that normal?

VLC version is latest.

It might be corrupt or it might be a VLC bug. Can't say out of the blue.

that happens only when playing audio-cds, if video's name or mp3's name has scandinavian letters then those are shown properly.

VLC and scandinavian letters

Postby cuser » 28 Jan 2015 19:30

this happens again, uninstalled VLC (deleted prefs and cache) and reinstalled (fresh copy) and chose my native language during install and still scandinavian letters are shown as ?

every setting I can think is set to UTF-8 (scandis were ?s even with windows-1252) in VLC.

same happens in 32bit VLC (Vista) and 64bit VLC ( Win 7).
