How Play 4K Videos on Lower Resolution Systems?

Hi,

Have some 4K Videos that would like to play on my PC that has a lower resolution.

To date VLC has been unable to play them.

Am thinking it should be able to do this by reducing the resolution to 1080p which plays OK.

Hope that someone has this same problem and has solved it.

Checked the forum using keywords "How Play 4K Videos on Lower Resolution Systems" but got nothing relevant.

I would suggest you just download the 1080p video then.
If you force 4K on your monitor then it might get damaged.
