I have two PCs, both with VLC installed.
When I play the DVD "Cocoon" with ...
- VLC the audio is distorted ... all voices are very base and scratchy.
- MS Media Player ... audio is perfect
When ripped to MP4 (with DVDFab 9) plays perfectly on both VLC and MS Media Player

PC#1
- custom build
- Win-7 x64 Pro
- CD\DVD device: Liteon "iHAS324" 24x (3 weeks old)
- dvd: VLC 2.1.5 Rincewind ... audio all voices are very base and scratchy
- dvd: MS Media Player ... audio is OK
- dvd: DVD Fab > ripped to MP4 (removes zones) ...
- MP4: file plays well on both VLC and Media Player (MP4 for NAS drive at a later date)

PC #2
- Toshiba Laptop Satellite C665
- Win-7 x86 Home Premium (OEM)
- CD\DVD device: TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L633J [Optical drive] ... 2012
- dvd: VLC 2.1.5 Rincewind ... audio all voices are very base and scratchy
- dvd: MS Media Player ... audio is OK

Problem is not DVD drives else MS Medias Player would not play the perfect results

I would appreciate any help
