After having added a button called "Playback Buttons" to VLC 2.1.3 (Rincewind)’s
control-panel which afterwards wasn’t removable, I went in through
C:\Users\Users_Name\AppData\Roaming\vlc (%appdata%\vlc)
and opened “vlc-qt-interface.ini” as .txt (Notes) and scrolled down to (MainWindow)
“MainToolbar” and erased “40-4;”. Same thing with 2.1.5. Problem solved,..for me.
Developers need to look into this bug.

Bug is still there in 2.2.1.

For anyone not familiar with “Playback Buttons" it’s the grey blob on the right hand side of the Loop button.
On the second picture with Customise Interface opened, it’s not visible; therefore not removable (through) this way.
Please tell if you’d rather have pictures put directly on the post in the future.

Well, that basically will erase all that One may have used weeks in total time to assemble and put together.
Look, it’s just a suggestion; if developers won’t consider it, it’s their choice, perhaps for lack of time.
