audio but no video with .mkv

Error msg reads: no suitable decoder module for fourcc 'x264'

The file I'm trying to play is a .mkv file
I've downloaded and installed Matroska Pack, ffdshow, and x264.

Also, while the file is playing (audio only), I've gone to the Menu bar and selected Video>Video Track> [Video Name] but still no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

fourcc shouldn't be x264 but h264... your encoder did something wrong.
