A long Long time issue which i would love to get solved

For a long time now when i watch dvd's (legit) i have problems with EVER player.
I hope someone here knows a fix this is the msg VLC player gives
How it goes 1 sound keps playing but screen is stuck. Afther pressing around to try to get it work it end up with a crash of the program.

Seems like your computer or your graphic card is too slow. Not much VLC developers can do there.

wow too slow?

Cpu I7 980
12gb DDR3 1600mhz
i run a nvidia gtx 480
I also had the problem with my Nvidia Gtx 590

I really want to know what monster pc i need to use to watch movies then.
I have this issue for like 2 years i really want this get solved. I didnt had this untill at some patch i remember trying older versions but i never could get back to watching movie's proper anymore i tried even 3 Dvd drives. Seriously out of idea's. All drivers up-to-date even reinstalled W7 like 3 times

Have you tried with GPU decoding disabled?
