Playing A Video DVD From Folder

Postby jdycus » 06 Apr 2014 22:28

How should I copy a video DVD to my hard drive for playing in VLC? Should I just copy over the AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS files from the disk to my hard drive, or "rip" the dvd, or create an ISO from the dvd? Do I need any special software for doing any of the above? Thank you

If there is no copy protection on a DVD, then you can just copy the DVD stuff to a desired folder on your hard drive and play it in VLC: Media > Open disc...: Disc device [Browse...]. Try it and you will see whether it works or not.
