VLC 2.1.3 cant convert second DVD chapter

With VLC 2.1.3, I can' convert convert second DVD chapter of personnal DVDs written by a PANASONIC (DMR-EX78). it is personnal video coming from my SONY cam. problem is with all DVDs. Each time i try i got a crash and ask to send info to you (it is what i did).
I can read with no problem the second chapter of all DVDs.
i can convert successfully the first chapter of all my DVDs only.
My OS is Windows 8.1
My VLC is the latest downloadable 2.1.3
To convert the second chapter i select chapter 2 and then get crashed after a few second.
