Hi,

I'm on Windows 8.1 64bit and i use lastest version of VLC.

But the VLC's Web Plugin bug, when chrome have to load it, i just have an error, "Could not load VLC Web Plugin".

So after that i tried to unistall VLC and Chrome through CCleaner, then clean registery and reinstall both of them, and still the same error.

When i go to "about:plugin", VLC plugin is here and activated. I try to use it with Firefox (fresh install) and firefox just force close when he have to load it. I try an older version of VLC, still the same problem.

What can i do? All my drivers are up-to-date. The plugin work well on my laptop with win 8.1 64bit too.

It's maybe late, but I had the same problem and finally (after days of research) found that two dll's are left inside windows folder sysWOW64. They are libvlc.dll and libvlccore.dll. Just delete them. Let me know if it helped.
