Windows 8 VLC media player issue.

I need help I cant get this too work now I mean it works but not well.

It was working fine before for a while but then yesterday even on the older version before I updated to the newer version it started too pixelate videos I played and it keeps pausing then the orange line on the bottom slides all the way across as too say its loading very slowly.

It pauses and freezes and acts up so much now it infuriates me too no end.

I thought the issues would be resolved if I updated to the newer version which I did yesterday...to no avail sadly.

The newer version of VLC had the same problems and ive looked everywhere and tried a few different solutions also too no avail whatsoever.

I have no idea what happened a week ago it was working fine but yesterday both the old before I updated too the new and the new version are screwed up royally and I have no idea why.

If anyone can help me find a solution too this I would truly and sincerely appreciate it.
