Can't have smooth 1080p HD playback

I have a Dell Precision M3800 that I think packs enough power to be able to play 1080p HD files smoothly. On laptop's display there is no noticeable lag. but when connected to TV (Sony Bravia KDL55NX720) via HDMI there is an annoying lag when the camera pans.

Specs:
Operating System
Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core i7-4702HQ @ 2.20GHz 4 Core(s) 8 Logical Processor(s)
Haswell 22nm Technology
RAM
8.00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz (11-11-11-28)
Motherboard
Dell Inc. Dell Precision M3800 (SOCKET 0)
Graphics
Generic PnP Monitor (1920x1080@60Hz)
Intel HD Graphics 4600 (Dell)
2047MB NVIDIA Quadro K1100M (Dell)
Storage
465GB Seagate ST500LM000-1EJ162 (SATA)

Using latest version of VLC 64bit and have installed all the Windows updates and drivers.

any tips to fix this issue?

Does it look like skipped frames? Maybe i have a similar problem.
I´m using a i7 3770 with GTX780 and a 120Hz Monitor + a Sony Bravia TV. When watching TV over LAN from a Dreambox the video looks like 15FPS or so. Never seen this with much older versions of VLC but i dont know when it starts to skip frames... i guess i have this problem since v.2.1.0 or 2.0.9 - don´t really know.

i guessed first it had to do with Lucid MVP. i turned it on/off deinstalled etc. but no solution.

Activate GPU decoding.

Activate GPU decoding.
In the latest version there is no Enable option, it is set to Automatic by default.
How can I check the second GPU is being used or not?
