VLC 1.0.5 on Windows NT 4.0

Hello,
According to this link: https://wiki.videolan.org/VSG:Usage:Version/
VLC 0.9.x and 1.0.x will work on Windows NT 4.0. I have tried it and it installed fine, but I got an error message:"The procedure entry point ShGetFolderPathW could not be located in the dynamic link library SHELL32.DLL. This is funny, since VLC supports versions 1.0.x on NT 4.0. Any ideas about how to fix this?

PS: Please do not ask me why I still use NT 4.0 today, I am just testing it in a VM.

Ok.I will update IE6 as much as I can on NT 4.0. I will let you know the results.

UPDATE: It did the same thing as the original IE6, without updates.

IE6.0 should have brought Shell32.dll of version 6.0

And Shell32.dll version 6.0 has ShGetFolderPathW

I checked my version of shell32, and I have version 4.72, even with IE6SP1 and SP6a. I cannot modify this file, since it is constantly being used by the system. I guess I shouldn't expect too much from this OS, especially since I read recently in a different thread that NT 4.0 was never tested with VLC.

Well, the Microsoft documentation is buggy, since IE6 should have brought Shell32 > 5.0.

It did on Win9x, so that's why it works there, and not on NT4.
