Adjust Zoom using keyboard

Using VLC media player on Win 7, 64Bit.
I like to use the zoom feature accessed via Adjustments and Effects->Video Effects ->Geometry->Interactive zoom. One slight annoyance with this feature is that whenever I start up a video it defaults to a zoomed-in setting. So I have to manually drag the slider to the bottom. I was wondering if I could do this using the keyboard instead since positioning the cursor on the right spot in the slider is tricky.

The 'z' keyboard shortcut for zoom doesn't control this zoom, it just zooms the VLC window within the monitor.

Thanks!

PS_ I had inadvertently posted this in the Mac forum, have deleted it from there

You cannot. The best you have is alt+o, shift+alt+o and the rest...
