How to "normalize" sound in videos?

Postby roguatron » 07 Nov 2013 04:28

Hello,

I use VLC primarily for watching movies. Oftentimes in DVD release, the producers will not remaster the audio for home audiences, which results in some scenes being annoyingly quiet, and the next scene being startlingly loud.

How can I set a volume level to be standard?

Thanks.

Thanks, I did try that and it really didn't seem to have an effect.

Hello, I have tried adjusting the "normalize volume" setting to various values. Does anyone have any recommendation on which value would be best?

Try a value between 0.1 and 5.0
