Dolby Digital and DTS dont work with VLC 2.1.0

Hi all !
I have installed VLC 2.1.0 (64 bits) and I can't get Dolby Digital or DTS sound from my amplifier. My PC, running under Windows 7 64 SP1, is wired to my Denon amplifier using an optical cable. I tried different configurations in VLC but none worked as expected :
- Directsound (DirectX)
- Audio Wave out
In both cases, I have checked "Enable SPDIF output if possible" and set the audio output on my Realtek digital output. But my amplifier panel desperately stayed on "Dolby PL II" (Stereo).
It is important to notice that I don't have any problem using XBMC : both Dolby Digital and DTS work fine on the same PC.
More over, I can get Dolby Digital and DTS using VLC on my Macbook Pro.
Is anyone experiencing the same problem ? Is there a way to solve it ?
