Trying to download VLC directly or through the app itself is not working.
I am getting the following error on direct download:

Downloading it from VLC is extremely slow and results in:

Make sure you are not using a web proxy and you have no virus. Then redownload VLC manually from the videolan.org website.

Cannot download VLC 2.1
