Geometry effects don't work on WMV files- 2.0.8

When I enable any of the geometry effects on any WMV file, the video just freezes.

Works for me with most files but it freezes with some VC-1 interlaced ones.
Please try with
VLC 2.1.0-rc2.

The file I tested is VC-1 progressive, according to MediaInfo.
Like 2.0.8, version 2.1.0-rc2 will freeze the video completely with rotate turned on. But, unlike 2.0.8, it does not freeze with transform. It continues playing, but it gets really choppy and the picture occasionally becomes littered with black pixels.
