vlc 2.0.8 HDD turns off

Postby bobinmk » 17 Sep 2013 20:31

When i put vlc 2.0.8 the system shuts down immediately not everytime (like turns off the hard disk, then i need to restart). I checked with many antivirus no problems found .Not even the problem of HDD. But I found one thing I dont know might be right but for the information.
I have windows 7 service pk 1 + Nvidia geforce 420M , i found in control panel -->Nvidia control panel --> manage 3d Settings --->Program setting --> I added vlc . please make in graphic card settings inclusion of vlc. Im checking , Not sure this sorts out the issue. Do you know about this specific issue ?

Sounds like a driver issue, update your drivers.

You can also try another video output module:

And/or disable/enable GPU acceleration:

You can also try to enable or disable some video options such as Overlay and/or Hardware YUV -> RGB conversions.

And finally you can try VLC 2.1.0-rc2.
