the interface from previous version?

Postby wallofwallace » 04 Aug 2005 01:46

I liked the one box interface on the windows version... but it seems to be gone this time around? The one that looks just like the default skin, except the two boxes are actually attached to each other, not giving me a floating window with the movie playing and a box behind it somewhere with the controls. What happened? I hate the skins2 interface. :?:

Just download a previous version (bottom of the page), extract the skins2 folder to your current vlc directory and use it.

unfortunately yes I think a skin is going to be the best way..

Maybe some skin guys would be willing to do a nice wx-type default-looking oldschool skin..

skin dept. forum ;)

but you can give the --wxwin-embed switch a try.. it will make the videos embedded in the wx interface.. it's not so bad. :)

In the [start - [all programs - [videolan menu tree there's a shortcut ready for this where the command is roughly:

Code: Select all

"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" --intf wxwin --wxwin-embed
