support for Japanese-characters in VLC for Win XP

Postby Bingan » 03 Aug 2005 13:15

Hi!

I've got a bunch of Japanese audio and video files that fails to load in VLC when they are named; or is in a directory, with with Japanese characters. If I change the name of the file and directory to the latin alphabet, then I have no problem playing the clips.

For further notice:
I have got a Swedish version of Win Xp Pro, with support for East-Asian Language files installed.

Would appreciate any help with this issue since I would very much like to keep the file names intact.
